Sure he wants to close Gitmo. Sure he wants to silence talk radio and all dissention. Sure he wants to flood America with 50 million Mexican outlaws who will all vote Democrat. Sure.
But what about all those promises he made to America about tax cuts? Gone. What about the $3000 tax credit to any business that hires an American? Gone. What about pulling out of Iraq within 6 months? Gone. What about paying for home heating oil for inner city blacks? Gone.
My, it seems our Nouveau Messiah may have said some things....just to get elected!! Gasp!! What about Change!? What about Hope!? Oh no!

Wow. I predicted Obama would be the biggest belly flop for the left in a looooooooooong time, once they figured out he couldn't/wouldn't do everything they thought in their grasping, greedy, power lusting dreams that he promised he could. In fact, if he goes off the bust end and fails to deliver on the more extreme demands of his freak coalition party, it could devastate his reputation as 'The Omnipotent One!' He could wind up like one more of so many of Oprah's other recommended 'life changing' psychobabblers - a lying fraud! How discouraging would THAT be to the Marxist Cognescenti of America?
Remember how bummed GOP'ers were when the Drunk Frat Boy Bush II dropped a pant load on them with his Amensty for Illegals deal? Hell, yeah, you remember. The resulting electoral crash from that was the night of November 7, 2006 and the Republicans got raped over a tree stump like Warren Beatty. Why? Because the bummed out, pissed off, disenchanted GOP voter stayed home, my friends.
Wouldn't it just be funnier than a Pelosi on fire to see the same thing happen to the lefties in '10 and '12? Ha ha ha! How could they ever get up again to the same degree they did for 'Barry the Uber Cool Deity for the Apple Store Generation'?
Hell, if "THE ONE" can flame out and squat nuggets on you, who can you depend on? I think that 's what waiting for the Great, Stinking Unwashed that pinned their hopes on this fraud. Utter disillusionment.
You see, when a political mob gets its hopes revved up all over "their guy" and seriously believe he is going to fix everything, deliver the goods and make all their dreams come true, well they are setting themselves up for one thumping fall.
The best lesson the left will ever have, in terms of balancing all this orgasmic hope in Obama, is the example embodied in George W. Bush. Take a long look at Bushie, lefties. Remember, he was supposed to be the next Reagan. He had a national crisis (9/11) as a springboard to huge poll numbers and therefore the political capital to 'get er done.' And what did he do? He crapped the bed.
Well, Obama has an impending financial crisis that can be used as a springboard to possibly huge poll numbers and therefore political capital to 'get it all fixed.' Whoops! Red alert! Red Alert! Danger Will Robinson, Danger!
Often the single MOST dangerous thing that can happen to a politico is he gets exactly the power he wants. Greed, arrogance, lust, hubris, impatience, whatever you want to call it, always seems to make them guzzle too deep when drinking from the power jar, causing them to spill it all over themselves.
This is why great Leaders (there is a huge difference between a 'Leader' and a 'President') are men who care nothing for personal power, legacy, popularity or acclaim. They are men who live to do the right thing and couldn't care less if they get their picture on a coin, statute or Newsweek cover.
I personally think there have only been three great Leaders that served as Presidents from 1900 to now:
Teddy Roosevelt, Harry Truman and Ronald Reagan.
These men acted on what they knew was the right thing to do , they were tough and did what was best despite the "consensus" of the contemporary media, so called 'experts' or legions of nattering northern limousine liberal elites.
It is very interesting to note that the one major common denominator these 3 men shared was that they were all outsiders, and not at all very popular with their respective party's power brokers.
History refresher: TR was sent to the Vice Presidency to make him useless, controllable and ultimately, to make him go away. Truman was picked on FDR's ticket to help him pick up Southern votes - Harry was never intended to be more than a tool of electoral strategy and the Dem higher ups were NOT happy he took charge when FDR kicked the bucket. And Reagan almost unseated Ford in the 1976 Republican Primary (again: he almost unseated a sitting President in a primary race!) with his outsiders view that "Washington is not the solution, Washington IS the problem!" That did not make "Washingtonian" Republicans happy.
This is why I like outsiders. I like people who don't want to put a new paint job on the castle, they want to burn the damn thing down. In fact, there ought to be a law that no one can EVER serve as President who has ever been a lobbyist, a Senator, a House Rep., an Ambassador, a Cabinet member, an agency head, or a legacy from a prior serving President (son, wife, daughter, ect.). No insiders EVER need apply.
Further, I'd be for a Constitutional amendment that says you have to have owned or run a small business for at least 10 years or served in active military service for 10 years before you can even qualify to run for any national office.
While were at it, lets take back the electoral system from the parasites and bottom feeders, too. How about this: No one can vote unless they are a legal citizen, they must be a high school graduate, they must be 21 years of age, they must never have been convicted of a felony, they must be able to read and write English and they must have a driver's license or valid state ID. People should not be allowed to vote who are too stupid to know how the country works and only want to steal themselves another entitlement from those of us who do work for a living.
"C'ome on, Tex, is it really that bad?" you ask. Well, homeless bums are voting and using park benches as addresses. Local canvassing boards are counting votes 4 and 5 times for the candidate they want. Illegal Mexicans are getting drivers licenses and are being allowed to vote using them. Judges are deciding elections bases on what they interpret an anonymous voter's intent to be. Hell, the overall population of the State of Texas went up 16% last year alone due to illegal immigrants! Presidents, Senators and Reps caused these major bleeding wounds...not Leaders.
I figure we have about 20 years left until we are officially just another nation state, subservient to the UN. That is, if the Presidents, Senators and Reps get their way. Make no mistake, the real world difference between what Bush I, Clinton, Bush II and Obama want is so small you couldn't find it with a NASA spy satellite.
What can change it? The American people. When they finally get a real Leader who throws the right switches and, in return, releases the creativity, energy and undiluted ingenuity of the American people. But real Leaders, it seems, only show up when they're not invited. They seem to only appear by accident, chance or surprise. Those ol' party insiders sure don't like them trouble makin' outsiders, do they?
Can an outsider fix what's broken by himself? Hell, no. I don't believe any elected person can 'fix' the problems of this nation nor do I think any elected human can be a 'Great Deliverer' that solves our troubles. Only a fool deifies corrupt ladder climbers. What I do believe is that a great Leader can yank the leash on Washington hard, cut its onions off and release back to the people their God-given Freedom and Liberty so they can solve their problems on their own.
Just like the Founding Fathers intended.
So, here's to the next uninvited Great Leader(s), whomever you are...
