Last post I predicted the stupid Healthcare bill would pass and do so by about 4 votes...it did pass and passed by 6. I was pretty much on target. I also said that if it passed, it would not get a follow up pass by the American people and they would, by greater and greater margins, desire that it be repealed.
Well, well, well! Today in the news Rasmussen Reports released a poll that said 63% of Americans now want Obamacare repealed. If that had come from any other polling firm but Rasmussen, I might ignore it. But they've called every election since about 1998 right on the nose and are extremely accurate. The figure 63% is the highest one yet, and this comes an entire two months after the damned thing passed.
That tells me a couple of things. First, it reveals that people are learning more and more what was hidden in that disasterous bill. It also reveals that despite the media's attempts to camouflage voter discontent over the bill, folks have not forgotten the despicable, thuggish, back stabbing manner in which it was passed. They have not forgotten nor have they forgiven. The storm has not yet begun to brew over this.
And if 'Bam is doing such a great job and is resting in the beaut

Sure, I know the corrupt Dems split their own ticket in Aloha Land. But that's not the point. We did the same thing in 1992 between Wimp Bush I and the Mad Troll Perot, thus giving the plurality win and the White House to 'ol Porn Boy Clinton . No, I don't remember the Dems back then saying 'Well, we were just lucky, they split their ticket so we need to just be grateful for the opportunity..." No, they screamed that the win was a mandate and used that mantra to try to ram all kinds of idiotic socialist crap down our throats (of course, Slick Willie's tactics resulted in the 1994 GOP Sweep, but let's not digress...).
No, the point is that if folks in Hawaii weren't ticked off royally at the Donkeys and their Dear Leader in record numbers to begin with, Mr. Djou would never have been close enough in one of the bluest of blue states to even get within a hula dance's distance of benefiting from a split ticket. The media won't say it out loud, but Djou is another 'Scott Brown' nuclear bomb. There is no way this can be anything but a taser to the lower g.i. tract for Dem pollsters. It really is that big of a deal, which is why the media buried the story less than two days after it happened.
It's looking more and more reasonable to think that the only Democrats that'll win in November are the ones with the stones to run against Obama, not Bush (again). And judging from all the success 'Bam has had recently supporting candidates (*cough*cough* Arlen Specter! *cough*cough*) they're just as well to hope he stays as far away from them as possible. In fact, I'd look for some reverse Jim Jeffords to pop up by late fall. Hey, a cynical selfish attempt to save one's career is better than no attempt at all, right? Hell, even Rick Perry was a Democrat from 1968 to 1989, until he jumped horses to save his career and his taxpayer funded hairdo's.
This fall will be particularly cruel if B.O. keeps doubling down on 'immigration reform', too. But his embarrassing on again/off again tactics in this area have, frankly, left him looking like a clueless doofus. And let's not forget the frosting on top of his "Gimme gimme gimme now!" cake, the inexplicable nomination of the most radical Supreme Court nominee in 100 years. Is he trying to pick a fight with moderate America? Hint, hint folks...there are very good reasons why the Clintons are trying as hard as they can to bury Elena Kagan's records as an administration aide in their library. She's even to the left of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Who even knew that was possible? If Kagan's records truly come completely to light (will they find them in Hillary's bedroom?) there will be a huge "WTH!?" moment as people ask out loud why Obama would nominate such a socialist radical.
Now, to continue baking his November Disaster Desert, let's throw in Barry's arrogant, mean spirited slighting of Nashville during their recent flooding, his hypocritical, money hungry involvement with corrupt banks, his cold backhanding of Israel and his inept handling of the BP oil spill (hey, if Katrina was Bush's, then the BP oil spill is Barry's). The cumulative result is a massive erosion of his credibilty that has totally taken the 'Hope and Change' sheen off of old Chicago Boy.
Even the major networks are ticked off because he refuses to give them open access to him or his staff and has gone so far as to create his own White House 'Interview Department' that films staged interviews of staff members (by staff members!) and then releases the video as news. Folks, that's on par with the type of garbage Joseph Goebbels would pull.
And the boiling waters of international politics aren’t helping him much either. Remember when he travelled around the world apologizing for America and the media reported that he was repairing our image? Well, North Korea didn't get the memo. That wing nut Kim Jong Il would never have ordered his navy to sink the South Korean Cheonan with Bush in office...Kim is reveling in Obama's weakness and rubbing America's face in the pile of yellow jello B.O. left behind when he went on his world wide apology tour.
You don't bow before adversaries and expect them to respect you - KJI may be insane, but he's not stupid. He knows Obama is weaker than Neville Chamberlain was in 1939 at Munich and he wants to exert himself while he can. He knows he probably won't be able to after 2012. The North is preparing for all out war with the South for the first time since 1953. And why now? Simple. America has never been weaker and less likely to defend our allies than it is now. 'Si se puede', indeed.
Add to his misery the Greek crisis in Europe which is threatening an already fragile global economy, a Euro that is tipping over into oblivion, an Iran that is thumbing it's nose at the world while ramping up its nuke program and a China that's afraid it's markets may collapse at any moment but who also hold almost 24% of our debt at around $880 billion. And what is he doing? Sicking Janet Napolitano on the Tea Party because they're potential 'domestic terrorists.' Good Heavens.
The sum total of all the above is this folks: the world is flying apart and the children in Washington D.C. have no idea what they are doing. Americans don't really need to know every nuts and bolt detail about what is happening to really understand that Barry Obama and Co. are way over their heads and are putting our country at risk, both militarily and economically. The embarrassingly tepid applause he gets when he visits Wall Street or West Point are healthy hints of what the real world thinks of him. Main Street U.S.A. gets it folks. But Obama doesn't get that they do get it.
The effect of all of this is amazing. I predicted he would pay a price for getting his way on health care reform and sure enough, Rassmussen (again, probably the most reliable polling outlet in the media) today reported B.O.'s ratings have dropped to 44% only five months before the November elections. That's his lowest ever. Bush's lowest was 35% when he left office after 8 years of incredible turmoil, war, economic collapse and cultural strife. Barry is only 9% ahead of Bush after 2 years and hasn't had near the challenges the 'W' had. (Update: Two days after I wrote this piece his approval rating is down to 42%, only 7% off of Bush's lowest ever. Not the knife in the craw you want to take to a November gunfight.)
Now sure, five months is a long time in politics, but unless he cures cancer or catches Bin Laden with his own bare hands, he is going to get crucified on Election Day. I don't think Sarah Palin was being too cocky when she put her own spin on Tina Fey's SNL quip and said "I can see November from my house!" Hilarious, but also foreboding for our big eared bully from Indonesia, uh..., I mean Illinois.
This must hurt old Barack's feelings. Old Elitist 'Bam has never had to explain or answer for his idiotic, rambling, radical socialist 60's theories because he never got to put them into effect until 2008. Well, now he's 'The Guy' in charge and his theories are falling apart like Lindsay Lohan's career. I'm sure he's shocked and angry that everything his professors at Harvard Law taught him isn't working out exactly as theorized, but I'm also pretty certain he's convinced it's the fault of all those right wing, racist, capitalist neocon's that make up so much of America. You remember them don't you, the bitter clingers?
If things keep going this way, look for his staff to start jumping ship. There is no honor amongst liberals, only consulting jobs and 'talking head' spots on CNN at risk if a major election disaster happens. I think Rahm Emanuel hops off the USS Obamanation before November to give himself cover. No one wants to get the stink of a massive, gut ripping loss all over them and Barry's cretinous staff is no exception. They'll bolt in a second and leave him to deal with the mess at ground zero while they shill as analysts on cable television programs.
Yes, friends, only five months to go and we may actually get to witness the death knell of 1960's radical socialism in mainstream American politics. The sad thing is that if it does die, it won't be because we listened to men like Ronald Reagan who warned us what would happen if such dangerous politics were given a free hand. No, we'll have to learn the lesson rather painfully exactly because we did give it a free hand.
Ironic isn't it, that the greatest damage that may ever be done to American liberalism might not be done by American conservativism at all, but rather by American liberalism itself simply because it got what it wanted all along - absolute complete control?
