The sweet photo of the stampeding Elephant is the Time magazine November 21st, 1994 cover referencing the '94 Off Year Elections, in which the Clintons were brutally punished for trying to take over this country's health care system. Do you remember how that ended for the Democrats? Just look at that little squashed donkey. You'd think they'd learn, but socialists are never interested in what's good for the nation, only what creates more Democrat voters. Not sure how many times we're going to have to see this movie, but it's always going to end the same way. Doubt that?
Well, here we are 16 years later and America has a committed socialist as President who actually successfully threatened, bribed, bullied, bought and browbeat his way into winning what the Clinton's only dreamed of. But Obama's biggest problem is...that he won and actually got his HealthCare bill passed. And, ooooh, that's a-gonna cost him.
He is going to take the political beating of lifetime tonight for doing just that - getting what he wanted. Tonight is going to be huge for the GOP, maybe not quite as huge as I would like simply because most Democrat candidates have at least a 10% to 15% margin of extra votes built in due to their shameless fraud, military disenfranchisement and ballot box stuffing. Therefore, many close votes that in a fair world would have gone GOP, will eventually go Democrat (no doubt after multiple Al Franken style recounts). But nevertheless, the GOP should do pretty well tonight. Their biggest problem is...that they'll win. What are they going to do with it?
You see, in 1995 our fair Republican Party got the House and Senate back in huge numbers as reaction against HillaryCare, but they promptly stopped evangelizing conservative principles and became party hacks more concerned with the number of 'R's behind the names of fellow politicos inside the Beltway. In disregarding the reason they were sent to D.C., they became soul damaged versions of their rival party; they became the Democrat-light party.
That's how we ended up with disastrous folks like George W. Bush, Trent Lott, Orrin Hatch, Lindsey Graham, Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Mike Huckabee, Charlie Crist, Richard Shelby, Chuck Hagel and John McCain. Gad, what a role call of morons. It quickly became obvious that RINO's like these were simply cowards that believed in as little as your average Kennedy or Clinton, but they were just as motivated as most liberals to get choice positions of power and screw the freedoms of honest citizens so as to maintain their postitions of priviledge.
Now, here we are 16 years later and thanks to the grass roots Tea Party Movement reacting to ObamaCare, the GOP stands to return to power once again and get a "1994 Do Over." However unlike the '94 version, the '10 GOP is not a recent Reagan creation but rather a sad, bastardized, lost-in-space, dysfunctional creature piloted by amoral clones of John D. Rockefeller. It is the feces of George W. Bush and Karl Rove. It is no longer your father’s GOP. Can tonight’s vote change the party and get it’s groove and soul back? Will the 'Battle of the Tea Party Candidates' tip the GOP balance of power back into the hands of the conservatives?
It will be interesting to see how this current civil war within the party plays out after tonight. Will the professional huckster Michael Steele retain his position as anointed elitist who only tolerates the pro-life, pro-God, pro-gun, pro-Constitution, Limbaugh ‘Dittohead’ party loyalists for their campaign contributions, or will Sarah Palin successfully wrestle the mantle of leadership away and return the GOP to its Reagan roots? Only time will tell, but I pray that is exactly what happens.
But back to tonight. I believe tonight will be the moment that define’s Obama’s presidency. I think he is doomed to be a one term president and his ineptitude and arrogance has set him up like a crippled rabbit wailing about race baiting Tea Partiers while the Clinton coyotes circle and close in on him. Tonight is the beginning of the end of not only Obama, but 1960’s Liberalism. And it is going to end precisely because it got what it wanted, namely power, and exposed itself for what it is.
Americans finally got to see what happens when the socialists got their chance, took over and implemented their radical agenda. You’d be damn lucky to find ten people who got past 9th Grade that actually like what the Dems and Obama have done to America. That’s why tonight is NOT an ‘anti-incumbent’ tantrum but rather clearly is a passionate ‘anti-Democrat’ tidal wave. And Obama will become the poster boy for Democrat failure and he’ll never recover from the drubbing. Who knows how long it will take for the Dems to recover. I guess they'll have to invent a new term to camouflage their politics since 'liberal', 'progressive', 'moderate' and 'pro-life Democrat' have all been destroyed in the last 2 years. Thanks to the man-child Obama.
And is ol' BO as weak as I suspect him to be? Well, when Jon Stewart repeatedly calls you ‘Dude’ on a comedy show and pays as little respect to you as leader of the nation (as he did to Obama), it reveals how weak you are. It also shows a colossal lack of judgement on a President's part to attempt to make a legitimate campaign stop on such a partisan, trivial program that serves only to spew idiotic drivel and spread hateful deceit disguised as political commentary. I think the average American voter is really getting this. If that's true, then Obama is truly over. Geez, even Letterman is mocking him now.
But let me side step here for a second and *ahem* brag a bit on myself. If you've read this blog before, then you know I made a pretty bold and prescient prediction the day of the 2008 Presidential Election. In case you forgot:
"The real truths underlying this 2008 Election season as I see them are as follows:
1. McCain CANNOT win this election, no matter the result is tonight.
2. Obama would be a bigger hero to the left if he LOST tonight's election - the future will be cruel if he wins.
3. If Liberalism wins tonight, it will pay a painful future price for being EXACTLY what it is because it always overreaches in its desire to wield totalitarian control.
4. Conservatism in the end WILL triumph because it IS Americanism and is the ONLY political philosophy that dove tails with the vision of those giants who founded our nation and made it great. America is still a center right nation and will not tolerate extremists trying to subjugate liberty under the harness of a radical agenda.
All is not lost, fellow Patriots. One election does not a nation make, so take heart! Truth WILL win in the end!
We ain't dead yet, you commie bushwackers! "
Well. It would seem I called that one pretty clearly. In fairness, it wasn’t that hard. I lived through that catastrophe called the Carter Administration and I know a genuine fool when I see one.
Frankly, Obama never had a chance. He was a product of his own arrogant imagination and the left’s self-serving fantasies. The thing they thought they elected in 2008 simply does not exist in this world and the biggest reason I knew Obama was unqualified to serve as this nation’s leader is because he failed to recognize that fact.
Let’s hope the Tea Party Tsunami that begins to crest tonight carries through ‘til 2012 and our nation can get it’s heart and soul back. Until then, as a wise man once said:
“We ain’t dead yet, you commie bushwackers!”
